In Fort Worth Real Estate, 2018 Promises To Be A Happy New Year

Happy new year from Buyer’s Choice Exclusive Buyer Agency!

Here in Fort Worth, that isn’t just a hollow sentiment. Everything I’m seeing points to a very happy new year in Fort Worth real estate – and that means it’s a great year for all of us. Whether you’re planning to move to the area, have been here for years or just keep up with Fort Worth from afar, you’re surely seeing the same excellent signs of prosperity and growth in Fort Worth that I’m seeing.

Tarrant County Building Boom Will Continue

As the Star-Telegram recently reported, several major construction projects across Tarrant County signal that the building boom will continue. That’s good news for the economy because many of these projects bring jobs and other opportunities. Big projects in the works include:

  • The new American Airlines headquarters, which will keep the company in Fort Worth and bring a huge campus north of Trinity Boulevard and west of Texas 360. The modern campus includes 5 buildings and will accommodate more than 6,500 employees by the end of 2019. A thousand construction workers are involved in the project.

  • The Charles Schwab campus at Texas 170 and Texas 114 in the Circle T Ranch development. The area will include a 200-room hotel, residences for 275 families and a million square feet of retail and office space just 23 miles north of downtown Fort Worth.

  • The Arlington Automotive Logistics Center, which takes the long-abandoned Six Flags Mall property. Across the street from the General Motors Arlington Assembly Plant, it will house up to 1,250 employees by the end of 2018.

  • The GM plant expansion. Scheduled to be completed before 2018 is finished, it will include more assembly space and better equipment to meet GM’s future production needs, whatever they might be.

  • The Facebook Fort Worth Data Center, near Texas 170, US 377 and I-35W, takes 500 acres. It’s a data storage center with pad sites and other resources and could double the data capacity of North Texas. At least 3 additional buildings are coming.

  • The Globe Life Field/Texas Live! project, which includes a new baseball park and entertainment complex. Some parts of the project could open by the end of 2018.

Plenty Of Room For You

You also may have heard in the news recently about just how much developable land Fort Worth has to offer: It’s 70,000 acres of vacant land, according to the North Central Texas Council of Governments. That’s more than double what Dallas has available and exceed all other cities in the DFW metro area.

So that means there’s plenty of room for you and your business here.

I just don’t see any negative Fort Worth or Tarrant County real estate news on the horizon. And that means 2018 is a great time to live in and invest in Fort Worth.
